FMC Ice Sports is seeking a dedicated professional to help maintain and operate one of the region's premier ice sports facilities, supporting quality operations that serve hockey players, figure skaters, and the local community.
About the Role
As a Facility Operator, you'll play a key role in the daily operations of our ice sports facility. Your work ensures that our rinks, equipment, and systems run smoothly and safely, enabling programs and skating activities that benefit our community and promote interest in hockey and figure skating.
What You'll Do
- Operate and monitor ice-making and refrigeration equipment to maintain optimal rink conditions
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of facility systems, equipment, and physical spaces
- Respond to facility needs, troubleshoot equipment issues, and coordinate repairs when necessary
- Maintain clean, safe, and well-organized facility areas for skaters and programs
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure the facility meets health and operational standards
- Support facility staff and coordinate with program schedules to minimize disruptions
- Keep accurate logs of equipment operation, maintenance, and facility conditions
What We're Looking For
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Experience with facility maintenance, building systems, or equipment operation (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and cleanliness
- Ability to work part-time hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Reliable, responsible, and team-oriented approach to work
- Willingness to learn and take initiative in maintaining facility excellence
