Technician, Refrigeration/HVAC

Walmart is hiring a Full-Time Technician, Refrigeration/HVAC in Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas to maintain and repair critical refrigeration systems across our supermarket operations. About the Role

Our refrigeration and HVAC systems keep food fresh and our stores running smoothly. As a Technician in this role, you'll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of refrigerated display cases, walk-in coolers, freezers, and climate-control equipment throughout our facility. This is a hands-on position that combines technical expertise with customer-focused problem-solving in a fast-paced retail environment.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair refrigeration compressors, condensers, evaporators, and related components
• Service HVAC heating and cooling systems to maintain proper store temperature and food safety standards
• Perform preventive maintenance on all refrigerated equipment to minimize downtime
• Test refrigerant levels, pressures, and electrical systems using industry-standard tools
• Replace parts, seals, gaskets, and refrigerant lines as needed
• Document maintenance records and respond to equipment failure calls promptly
• Collaborate with store management and other departments to prioritize repairs
• Follow safety protocols and environmental regulations for handling refrigerants

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on experience with commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems
• Knowledge of EPA regulations and proper refrigerant handling
• Proficiency with diagnostic and testing equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to food safety standards
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between locations if needed
