About the Role
In this Business Development position, you'll identify and cultivate partnerships with schools, corporations, and community organizations that advance JerseySTEM's mission. Your strategic thinking and professional networks will help us reach more students in underserved New Jersey communities and connect them with mentors, resources, and pathways to STEM careers.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain partnerships with schools and organizations serving middle school students
- Identify corporate sponsors and community partners aligned with gender equity in STEM
- Explore program expansion opportunities within New Jersey's underserved areas
- Support fundraising and grant research initiatives
- Leverage your professional network to strengthen program reach and impact
- Contribute strategic insights on partnership and market opportunities
What We're Looking For
- Professional background in business development, partnerships, corporate relations, or related fields
- Commitment to gender equity and increasing access to STEM education
- Strong professional network, particularly in New Jersey
- Strategic thinking and partnership development skills
- Excellent relationship-building and communication abilities
- Passion for creating equitable opportunities for youth in underserved communities
