MRI Tech – Hospital

Grays Harbor Community Hospital, located on Bench Drive in Grays Harbor County, is seeking a full-time MRI Technician to join our diagnostic imaging department. In this role, you'll operate advanced magnetic resonance imaging equipment while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a busy community healthcare setting.

About the Role

As an MRI Tech at Grays Harbor Community Hospital, you'll be responsible for the safe and effective operation of MRI scanners that produce detailed images of patients' internal structures. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in our imaging services, helping physicians accurately diagnose and treat patients across our hospital network.

What You'll Do

• Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the scanning process and answering questions to alleviate patient concerns
• Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment according to established protocols and safety standards
• Position patients correctly on the scanner table and secure immobilization devices as needed
• Monitor patient vitals and comfort throughout imaging procedures, maintaining clear communication
• Troubleshoot routine equipment issues and perform preventive maintenance checks
• Document patient information and imaging results accurately in medical records
• Adhere strictly to magnetic resonance safety protocols and regulatory requirements

What We're Looking For

• Current MRI Technologist certification or registry (ARRT preferred)
• Demonstrated proficiency operating MRI equipment and imaging software systems
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse patient populations
• Physical capability to safely lift, position, and assist patients
• Solid understanding of magnetic resonance physics and safety principles
• Attention to detail with commitment to imaging protocol accuracy
