About the Role
As a Lead Cashier, you'll serve as a key member of our guest services team, overseeing register operations and creating a smooth, welcoming checkout experience. You'll be responsible for managing point-of-sale transactions with precision and handling the varied demands that come with working in a high-traffic museum retail environment.
What You'll Do
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using our POS system
- Handle special requests including returns, exchanges, and price adjustments
- Open and close registers, verifying cash drawers and reconciling daily totals
- Troubleshoot register issues and resolve payment discrepancies
- Provide courteous, knowledgeable customer service to museum guests
- Monitor for unusual transactions and ensure compliance with company policies
- Assist team members and answer questions about products and procedures
