MPD Field Operator

About the Role

Beyond Energy is seeking an experienced MPD Field Operator to join our team at active drilling sites in the Houston area. In this full-time position, you'll manage Managed Pressure Drilling systems, monitor real-time wellbore conditions, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. This is hands-on field work requiring technical knowledge, mechanical skill, and a strong commitment to safety on fast-paced well sites.

What You'll Do

• Operate MPD control systems and monitor pressure, flow, and wellbore parameters throughout drilling operations
• Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections, testing, and routine maintenance procedures
• Maintain detailed operational logs and reports for the drilling team and management
• Respond to real-time system changes and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance
• Identify equipment issues early and communicate repair needs to maintenance personnel
• Follow all safety regulations, company protocols, and industry standards without exception
• Coordinate with the drilling crew, tool pushers, and other field professionals
• Work rotating shifts in outdoor, high-temperature wellsite environments

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience operating MPD equipment or equivalent oilfield drilling experience
• Solid understanding of drilling systems, wellbore mechanics, and equipment operation
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
• Physical fitness to perform manual labor and withstand extended shift work
• Detail-oriented approach to documentation and equipment monitoring
• Reliable, safety-conscious work ethic with proven regulatory compliance
• Ability to work effectively in team environments and follow chain of command
• Willingness to travel to well sites across North America as assignments require
