Clinical Research Coordinator

California Retina Consultants is hiring a full-time Clinical Research Coordinator in Oxnard, Ventura County to support our clinical research operations. In this role, you'll be central to ensuring that research studies are executed with precision, compliance, and care for our patient participants.

About the Role

As our Clinical Research Coordinator, you'll manage the operational and administrative aspects of research studies conducted at our facility. You'll work directly with our clinical team, research participants, and regulatory bodies to ensure every study meets the highest standards of integrity and participant safety. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to regulatory compliance.

What You'll Do

• Schedule and coordinate research patient visits, ensuring all appointment logistics are managed smoothly
• Maintain comprehensive study documentation and maintain strict adherence to IRB-approved protocols and study procedures
• Verify patient eligibility against study criteria and maintain accurate screening logs
• Collect clinical data, conduct patient assessments, and document findings according to protocol requirements
• Ensure all research activities comply with ICH-GCP guidelines and institutional regulatory standards
• Communicate updates and coordinate with the research team, study sponsors, and participating physicians
• Monitor and report on study progress, enrollment metrics, and any protocol deviations

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or prior research experience preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Familiarity with clinical research operations, study protocols, or regulatory compliance
• Professional demeanor with excellent patient-facing communication skills
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and understanding of HIPAA regulations
