Trust & Estate Associate Attorney

Gpac is hiring a Trust & Estate Associate Attorney for our Arsenal, Allegheny County office. This is a full-time position ideal for an attorney passionate about guiding families and business owners through sophisticated wealth planning, tax strategy, and legacy preservation.

About the Role

As a Trust & Estate Associate Attorney at Gpac, you'll counsel clients on one of life's most important decisions: protecting their assets and ensuring their wishes are honored across generations. You'll develop a deep understanding of each client's family dynamics, financial circumstances, and long-term objectives—then structure comprehensive legal solutions accordingly.

What You'll Do

• Meet with clients to understand their financial situations, family goals, and legacy aspirations
• Design estate plans incorporating wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, and other advanced planning vehicles
• Advise on federal and state tax implications, including estate tax, gift tax, and income tax strategies
• Prepare legal documents and instruments—powers of attorney, healthcare directives, charitable giving structures, and more
• Guide clients through probate proceedings, trust administration, and fiduciary matters
• Coordinate with CPAs, financial advisors, and other professionals to deliver integrated strategies
• Keep current on changes in tax law and regulatory developments affecting client planning

What We're Looking For

• Juris Doctor degree and active Pennsylvania bar license
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills
• Knowledge of or strong interest in learning federal and state estate and gift tax law
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Client-focused mindset with the ability to translate complex tax and legal concepts into clear advice
• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently
• Professional judgment and discretion when handling sensitive client matters
