Children's Aid Job Listing seeks a full-time Case Manager (Intimate Partner Violence) to support families in Manhattanville, Manhattan through our Family Wellness Program. You'll provide trauma-informed advocacy to help survivors establish safety and heal from the effects of intimate partner violence.
About the Role
This full-time Case Manager position offers an hourly rate of $27.47–$30.22 and an opportunity to support families throughout Manhattan who are healing from intimate partner violence. You'll deliver comprehensive, trauma-informed case management and advocacy, helping survivors navigate safety planning, access vital resources, and build stable, healthy lives. Working with our interdisciplinary team, you'll apply best practices in domestic violence services and trauma-informed care to create meaningful change in families' lives.
What You'll Do
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and develop individualized case plans with each family
- Create customized safety strategies that address unique circumstances and risks
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support during high-risk situations
- Guide clients through access to housing, legal services, healthcare, and social resources
- Document case activities and progress notes with accuracy and attention to detail
- Advocate for and accompany clients during court hearings and administrative proceedings
- Coordinate referrals for counseling and trauma-focused mental health services
- Connect families with financial assistance, childcare support, and employment resources
- Participate in ongoing training in trauma-informed practice and cultural competency
- Collaborate with social workers, attorneys, healthcare providers, and community organizations
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting survivors of intimate partner violence
- Excellent communication and listening skills with ability to build trust with trauma survivors
- Understanding of intimate partner violence dynamics and trauma responses
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work ethically with sensitive information
- Spanish fluency preferred
- Full-time availability with flexibility to adjust hours as program needs require
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for city-wide case management
