About the Role
As a Youth Dance Instructor at our Philadelphia facility, you'll lead engaging dance classes and training sessions, guiding students through structured curriculum while maintaining a supportive, inclusive learning environment. You'll work with dancers at various stages of development, from beginners exploring dance for the first time to those pursuing competitive or advanced techniques.
What You'll Do
- Teach progressive and competitive dance programs, adjusting instruction to match student skill levels and age groups
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to build student confidence and technique
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized studio spaces that meet facility standards
- Assess student progress and adapt lesson plans to individual learning needs
- Model proper technique and dance fundamentals while demonstrating professionalism and enthusiasm
- Ensure all participants practice and compete safely during class and performance opportunities
What We're Looking For
- Formal training and advanced proficiency in dance—professional experience or relevant certification required
- Strong ability to teach dancers of varying ages and experience levels
- Excellent communication skills and genuine passion for working with young people
- Commitment to creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Knowledge of age-appropriate instruction and safety best practices in dance education
- Ability to manage a classroom, motivate students, and establish clear expectations
