St. Anne HS 302
St. Anne HS 302 seeks a dedicated Assistant Volleyball Coach to join our coaching staff for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a full-time position supporting girls' volleyball at the high school level (grades 9–12) in Saint Anne, Kankakee County, beginning with the fall 2026 season.
About the Role
As Assistant Volleyball Coach, you'll work alongside our head coach to develop student-athletes both on and off the court. You'll play a hands-on role in building a strong competitive program while fostering the skills, discipline, and teamwork that define high school athletics. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young athletes' development and school culture.
What You'll Do
- Assist the head coach in teaching fundamental volleyball skills, game rules, and proper techniques to all athletes
- Lead skill-building drills, conditioning sessions, and practice activities aligned with program goals
- Help plan, organize, and implement the high school volleyball program schedule and training curriculum
- Support game preparation, strategy development, and in-match coaching during competitions
- Contribute to athlete recruitment, mentoring, and development efforts
- Help maintain team equipment, facilities, and compliance with athletic standards
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated knowledge of volleyball rules, fundamentals, and coaching best practices
- Experience coaching or playing volleyball at the high school level or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate and connect with student-athletes
- Commitment to athlete safety, sportsmanship, and program integrity
- Reliability and professionalism in a school environment
- Willingness to collaborate with coaching staff and school administration
