About the Role
As a Line Cook at Sadie's, you'll work directly under our Chef De Cuisine on one of our kitchen stations, preparing fresh, high-quality dishes that define our New American comfort food concept. You'll be part of a team committed to consistency, creativity, and service excellence in a restaurant that draws from the energy of Lower Manhattan's vibrant waterfront neighborhood.
What You'll Do
- Execute all plating and cooking tasks to specifications, maintaining portion control and presentation standards
- Prep and organize your station with all necessary ingredients and tools at the start of each service
- Maintain proper food safety and sanitation practices throughout your shift
- Communicate clearly with your station partner, expeditors, and front-of-house team during service
- Contribute to a collaborative kitchen culture that supports quality and continuous improvement
- Adapt to seasonal menu changes and special programming events throughout the year
- Work efficiently during peak service times while maintaining attention to detail
What We're Looking For
- Proven line cook experience in a full-service restaurant environment
- Strong knife skills and foundational knowledge of cooking techniques
- Ability to work standing for the duration of your shift in a warm kitchen
- Reliability and commitment to showing up on time and ready to perform
- Openness to feedback and willingness to learn from experienced chefs
- Physical capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Current food safety certification preferred
