Mueller Water Products is hiring a full-time Machine Operator for the second shift in Kimball, Marion County. This is an on-site position working a 4-day, 10-hour schedule—Monday through Thursday—with consistent, predictable hours in a manufacturing environment.
About the Role
As a Machine Operator on our second shift team, you'll be part of the production backbone that keeps our water infrastructure solutions moving. This is a hands-on manufacturing role focused on operating, monitoring, and maintaining production machinery to ensure quality output and workplace safety.
What You'll Do
- Operate and monitor industrial production machinery and equipment according to established specifications and safety standards
- Perform routine maintenance checks and minor repairs to keep machines running at peak efficiency
- Inspect finished products for quality and ensure compliance with production requirements
- Document production metrics, downtime, and equipment issues accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
- Respond promptly to equipment alerts and troubleshoot basic operational problems
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience operating manufacturing equipment (previous machine operator experience preferred)
- Ability to work second shift, Monday through Thursday
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort with hands-on troubleshooting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to read blueprints, gauges, and production specifications
- Team-oriented mindset with reliable attendance
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and handle material movement as required
