Gpac is seeking a Licensed Funeral Director/Arranger to join our team in Market, Los Angeles County. This is a full-time position with a growing funeral home committed to compassionate service and community presence.
About the Role
As a Licensed Funeral Director/Arranger, you'll be the cornerstone of meaningful moments for families during their time of need. You'll combine professional expertise with genuine empathy, guiding families through arrangements and ensuring each service honors their loved one with dignity and care.
What You'll Do
- Meet with grieving families to understand their wishes and preferences for funeral services
- Coordinate all aspects of funeral arrangements, from ceremony planning to logistics
- Handle required legal documentation, permits, and compliance with state and local regulations
- Manage pre-need and at-need arrangements, including sales of caskets, urns, and related merchandise
- Oversee facility operations and maintain a respectful, professional environment
- Collaborate with staff, vendors, cemeteries, and crematoriums to execute services seamlessly
- Provide compassionate support and grief counseling to families
- Maintain accurate records and client information with attention to detail
What We're Looking For
- Valid California Funeral Director license (or ability to obtain)
- Proven experience as a funeral director/arranger in a professional funeral home
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to connect with diverse families
- Professional demeanor, integrity, and commitment to ethical service
- Ability to manage multiple arrangements and priorities with sensitivity
- Knowledge of funeral industry practices, regulations, and merchandise
- Bilingual capabilities a plus (serving a diverse community)
