About the Role
As a CDL A Truck Driver with McLane, you'll operate commercial tractor-trailers to deliver essential goods to retail and commercial customers across our service territory. This is a full-time position where your focus on safe, on-time delivery directly impacts the communities we serve.
What You'll Do
- Safely operate tractor-trailers to transport freight and consumer products
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation in accordance with DOT regulations
- Meet delivery schedules while maintaining strict adherence to federal and state safety standards
- Load, secure, and verify cargo using proper weight distribution techniques
- Communicate delivery status and any issues to dispatch and customers
- Represent McLane professionally during all customer interactions
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with a clean driving history
- Current DOT medical certification and ability to pass all physical requirements
- Professional experience operating commercial vehicles
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
- Reliable, responsible work ethic with consistent attendance
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including early morning shifts
