About the Role
As Director On Duty, you'll be the primary on-site leader during your shifts, serving as the decision-maker for our branch operations. This non-exempt, part-time role reports directly to the Branch Executive and requires someone who can balance supervision, member engagement, and operational excellence while embodying the YMCA's commitment to strengthening our community.
What You'll Do
- Lead the facility during assigned hours, making decisions that prioritize member safety, satisfaction, and facility operations
- Supervise staff and volunteer teams, ensuring professional standards and adherence to YMCA policies
- Welcome members and guests, setting the tone for an inclusive, supportive environment
- Address member concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Monitor facility cleanliness, safety compliance, and equipment functionality
- Support programming and activities that advance youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility
- Respond to emergencies and maintain incident documentation
- Communicate with the Branch Executive on operational updates and staffing needs
