Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Concordville in Glenside, Montgomery County is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to support patients on their journey toward recovery and functional independence. This role offers the chance to deliver meaningful, hands-on care as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
About the Role
As a Physical Therapist Assistant at our Glenside rehabilitation facility, you'll work alongside licensed physical therapists to implement individualized treatment plans and help patients regain strength, mobility, and confidence. You'll be on the front lines of patient care—leading therapeutic sessions, documenting progress, and adjusting interventions based on real-time patient response.
What You'll Do
- Execute evidence-based therapeutic exercises and techniques under PTA supervision to address pain, weakness, and mobility limitations
- Assist patients with functional activities such as walking, transfers, and balance training
- Monitor and document patient progress, communicating observations to the physical therapy team
- Maintain a safe treatment environment and adhere to infection control and facility protocols
- Support patient education on home exercise programs and injury prevention
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
What We're Looking For
- Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in Pennsylvania
- Compassion and genuine commitment to patient outcomes
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work safely and lift/assist patients as needed
- Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn from experienced clinicians
