Emerald is recruiting a Sales Director to join our leadership team in Alpharetta, Fulton County. This full-time position offers the opportunity to build and lead a high-performing sales organization while directing revenue strategy across our portfolio of established brands.
About the Role
As Sales Director, you'll take ownership of sales operations, team performance, and revenue expansion for one or more of Emerald's core business units. This leadership role combines strategic business acumen with direct team development—you'll set direction, coach talent, and drive measurable results in a hands-on environment.
What You'll Do
- Build, lead, and mentor a sales organization, establishing culture and performance standards that attract and retain top talent
- Own revenue targets and develop go-to-market strategies that expand market share and customer acquisition
- Manage sales forecasting, pipeline visibility, and reporting to support accurate business planning and executive oversight
- Coach sales representatives and team leads on best practices, closing techniques, and customer relationship management
- Monitor individual and team performance metrics; implement improvements to sales processes, tools, and workflows
- Build and maintain key customer relationships; identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, and product teams to align sales strategy with broader business objectives
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of progressive sales management experience, with proven success building and scaling teams
- Track record of exceeding revenue targets and delivering measurable business growth
- Strong coaching and mentoring ability; demonstrated success developing direct reports into high performers
- Comfort with sales analytics, CRM platforms, and data-driven decision making
- Ability to think strategically while executing tactically; comfort balancing big-picture goals with day-to-day operations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfort presenting to executive leadership
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in sales, business, or related field
