About the Role
As an Account Manager III at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll lead a portfolio of established and high-potential customer accounts, developing consultative partnerships that deepen engagement and unlock expansion opportunities. You'll combine strategic account management with consultative selling to maximize customer lifetime value and achieve revenue objectives.
What You'll Do
- Manage and grow a dedicated customer portfolio, serving as the trusted account leader for strategic organizations
- Assess customer research and operational needs, recommending tailored solutions from Thermo Fisher's comprehensive product portfolio
- Identify and pursue expansion opportunities, including upsells and cross-sells aligned with customer objectives
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within customer organizations
- Partner with product specialists, technical support, and operations teams to drive customer success and satisfaction
- Manage the complete sales cycle—from opportunity discovery and needs analysis through proposal development and contract execution
- Track market trends and competitive activity to inform account strategies and identify new business prospects
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated success in account management or consultative B2B sales, ideally within life sciences, laboratory services, diagnostics, or scientific instrument industries
- Experience building and maintaining complex relationships with enterprise or strategic-tier customers
- Strong business judgment with the ability to understand customer operations and identify growth opportunities
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities
- Self-motivated and organized, with strong capability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
- Background in or familiarity with scientific research, laboratory operations, or biotechnology environments preferred
