Materials Supervisor – 2nd Shift

About the Role

As Materials Supervisor for the 2nd shift, you'll oversee all internal material movement, storage, and distribution processes. You'll manage the warehouse and inventory systems that support manufacturing operations, ensuring materials reach the production floor on schedule and in perfect condition. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll work directly with your team while maintaining safety, accuracy, and efficiency standards.

What You'll Do

• Supervise and develop the materials handling team during the 2nd shift, providing direction, training, and performance feedback
• Manage incoming material receiving, inspection, and storage to maintain inventory integrity
• Oversee internal material distribution and work with production to meet manufacturing schedules
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with planning to prevent shortages or excess stock
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures across all materials handling activities
• Maintain accurate records and reports on material movement, discrepancies, and team performance
• Troubleshoot logistics issues and implement process improvements to reduce waste and cost

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in materials management, warehouse operations, or supply chain supervision
• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a manufacturing environment
• Strong organizational and inventory management skills with attention to detail
• Experience with warehouse management systems and inventory tracking software
• Ability to work a consistent 2nd shift schedule and adapt to operational demands
