Moseley Technical Services, Inc. is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer in Sterling Heights, Michigan to design and develop embedded software for advanced vehicle electronics and mission-critical systems on military ground combat platforms. This full-time role requires clearance-eligible expertise in real-time operating systems, embedded software architecture, and vehicle electronics integration.
About the Role
As an Embedded Software Engineer specializing in vehicle electronics and RTOS systems at Moseley Technical Services, Inc., you'll develop mission-critical embedded software that powers sophisticated military vehicle platforms. Based in Sterling Heights, Macomb County, you'll architect and implement embedded systems where performance, reliability, and security are essential to operational success.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and optimize embedded software for vehicle electronics and mission systems
- Develop and maintain board support packages (BSP) and embedded device drivers
- Engineer real-time operating system (RTOS) solutions to meet strict timing and performance requirements
- Integrate embedded software components with complex vehicle electronics systems
- Debug and troubleshoot hardware-software integration in embedded environments
- Collaborate with hardware engineers on system-level integration and validation
- Document technical designs, code implementations, and system specifications
What We're Looking For
- Strong proficiency in C and/or C++ for embedded systems development
- Demonstrated experience with real-time operating systems and embedded architectures
- Solid expertise in board support package (BSP) development and embedded device drivers
- Experience with embedded systems design, debugging tools, and analysis
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
- Background in vehicle electronics, automotive systems, or military platform development preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for safety-critical applications
