About the Role
As a Licensed Beauty Advisor at Sephora in Portland, you'll be the beauty expert customers turn to when they're searching for the right products and guidance. Working at our Beauty Studio and throughout the store, you'll combine product expertise with genuine customer service to deliver personalized beauty solutions. This is a direct, client-facing role where your recommendations and knowledge shape customers' shopping experiences.
What You'll Do
- Provide informed product recommendations based on customers' skin types, concerns, and beauty goals
- Conduct beauty consultations at the Beauty Studio and in-store
- Develop deep product knowledge across skincare, makeup, fragrance, and beauty tools
- Build lasting relationships with customers through personalized service
- Complete sales transactions accurately and professionally
- Stay current with beauty trends, ingredient science, and new product launches
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment
What We're Looking For
- Valid cosmetology or esthetics license
- Passion for beauty and proven expertise in skincare or makeup
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into product recommendations
- Professional demeanor and genuine desire to serve customers
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings and weekends as scheduled
About This Position
This part-time, hourly, non-exempt position is based at Sephora's Downtown Portland store located at 413 SW Morrison Street in Multnomah County, Oregon. You'll be part of a team dedicated to helping Sephora customers look and feel their best.
