Susquehanna Automotive is hiring a Lead Diagnostic Technician for our Longlevel, York County service facility. This full-time position offers the opportunity to lead diagnostic operations, mentor technicians, and work with modern Jeep and Ram vehicles in a collaborative, high-performance environment.
About the Role
As Lead Diagnostic Technician, you'll direct our diagnostic bay, managing complex vehicle troubleshooting while coaching and developing junior technicians. You'll work Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotating Saturday availability one weekend per month (7:30 AM to 1:00 PM) as part of our coverage model.
What You'll Do
- Execute advanced diagnostics on Jeep and Ram vehicles using manufacturer software and specialized diagnostic equipment
- Supervise diagnostic technicians to ensure quality, accuracy, and efficiency across all technical work
- Troubleshoot multi-system issues involving electrical, mechanical, powertrain, and transmission components
- Document findings thoroughly and present repair recommendations to service advisors and customers
- Manage diagnostic workflow to meet service targets and uphold customer satisfaction standards
- Engage in quarterly team and individual performance challenges that reward skill development and contribution
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of diagnostic and repair experience, ideally with Jeep, Ram, or other automotive brands
- ASE Master Technician Certification focused on diagnostics (or equivalent qualifications)
- Hands-on expertise with OBD-II scanners, manufacturer diagnostic tools, and service software
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and train other technicians
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
