About the Role
As a Patient Care Assistant at Cornerstone Caregiving, you'll deliver hands-on support to clients during evening and weekend hours. You'll work as part of a dedicated team committed to maintaining dignity, independence, and quality of life for the people in our care. This role offers the scheduling flexibility many caregivers need while making a meaningful impact every shift.
What You'll Do
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing
- Support meal preparation and assist with eating as needed
- Perform light housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe living environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support to build trust and comfort
- Follow individualized care plans and communicate updates to supervisors and family members
- Monitor client well-being and report any changes or concerns
What We're Looking For
- Genuine compassion and patience when working with vulnerable populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide physical support and assist with mobility safely
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to client locations
- Availability for evening and weekend shifts
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
