About the Role
As a caregiver for Cambrian Homecare, Inc., you'll deliver personalized care to individuals with developmental disabilities in their own homes. This role focuses on building trusting relationships while supporting clients with their daily needs and helping them achieve greater independence and quality of life.
What You'll Do
- Provide hands-on personal care assistance, including hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and dressing support
- Support clients with activities of daily living tailored to their individual abilities and preferences
- Assist with mobility, transportation to appointments, and community activities
- Help clients engage in meaningful recreational and therapeutic activities
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with supervisors and family members
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful home environment
- Follow individualized care plans and respond to client needs with patience and compassion
What We're Looking For
- Genuine passion for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
- Patient, compassionate approach to one-on-one caregiving
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to clients' homes throughout Lomita and Los Angeles County
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Ability to work independently while following established care guidelines
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt your schedule to meet client needs
