What You'll Do
- Accept ride requests through the Lyft app and transport passengers safely to their destinations
- Maintain your vehicle to ensure passenger comfort, reliability, and safety
- Build positive relationships with riders through professional, courteous service
- Navigate efficiently using GPS and local road knowledge
- Manage your own schedule and decide when and how often to drive
What We're Looking For
- Current driver's license valid in Illinois
- A reliable vehicle that meets Lyft's age and condition requirements
- Proof of insurance meeting state standards
- Clean driving record
- Commitment to excellent customer service
- Willingness to pass a background check
- At least 18 years of age
New Driver Earnings
New drivers in the Chicago area are eligible for bonuses up to $400. Earn $100 for every 10 rides you complete within 7 days—up to four qualifying periods. Terms and conditions apply.
