Hickman's Family Farms
Hickman's Family Farms is seeking a full-time North Barn Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair critical equipment at our Arlington, Maricopa County facility. This hands-on position is essential to keeping our chicken barn operations running safely, efficiently, and reliably every day.
About the Role
As the North Barn Maintenance Technician, you'll be the key person responsible for the day-to-day care and repair of poultry barn equipment and systems. Working at our Arlington location, you'll ensure that conveyor systems, mechanical equipment, and facility infrastructure operate at peak performance, directly supporting both animal welfare and farm productivity.
What You'll Do
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyor belt systems and related barn equipment
- Diagnose equipment failures and execute repairs to minimize operational downtime
- Inspect mechanical systems daily and document maintenance activities
- Maintain clean and organized barn facilities in compliance with safety and health standards
- Repair and modify barn structures, equipment installations, and mechanical components
- Monitor equipment performance and communicate issues to management proactively
- Follow all safety protocols and best practices for farm operations
What We're Looking For
- Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment
- Prior experience with farm equipment, conveyor systems, or industrial maintenance
- Physical capability to perform manual labor, climb, lift, and work in barn environments
- Strong commitment to safety, cleanliness, and attention to detail
- Reliability, dependability, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Openness to learning our specific systems and equipment
