Quality Inspector, (CWI)

Phoenix Industrial is hiring a full-time Quality Inspector with CWI certification in Platte County, Kansas. This is a critical quality assurance position where you'll conduct inspections, verify compliance with engineering standards, and maintain the documentation that ensures every project meets our clients' specifications and industry codes.

About the Role

As a Quality Inspector at Phoenix Industrial, you will be responsible for systematic evaluation and testing of materials, components, and assemblies within our Platte County operations. You will work under the guidance of the Quality Manager to execute comprehensive inspections against approved specifications and testing protocols, creating detailed records that support both our manufacturing processes and client requirements.

What You'll Do

• Perform visual, dimensional, and mechanical inspections on welded joints, fabricated components, and finished structures
• Document inspection results and prepare thorough reports that become part of our official quality records
• Evaluate materials and processes against engineering drawings, specifications, and applicable industry standards
• Collaborate with production teams and management to identify quality issues and prevent nonconforming work
• Verify compliance with customer requirements, codes, and internal quality procedures
• Support quality assurance initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement efforts

What We're Looking For

• Current CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification or equivalent industrial inspection credential
• Demonstrated experience in quality inspection, welding inspection, or industrial quality roles
• Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and inspection protocols
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation
• Excellent communication skills for reporting findings and working with teams
• Physical capability to perform inspections in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Professional approach to safety and quality standards
