About the Role

The College of Science and Engineering at Houston Baptist University is building its engineering faculty and seeks instructors dedicated to undergraduate education and student mentorship. You'll teach electrical engineering or cyber engineering courses, working collaboratively within the Department of Engineering under the direction of the department chair. This role emphasizes both classroom excellence and meaningful student development in a Christian educational environment.

What You'll Do

• Deliver engaging lectures and laboratory instruction in electrical engineering or cyber engineering disciplines
• Develop and refine course materials, assessments, and learning outcomes for undergraduate programs
• Mentor students through coursework, capstone projects, and career preparation
• Contribute to the advancement of your discipline through scholarship and professional development
• Collaborate with departmental colleagues on curriculum development and program improvement
• Support student learning through office hours, advising, and academic guidance

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Cyber Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
• Demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching and student success
• Professional experience in electrical engineering, cyber engineering, or related technical field
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in an academic setting
