About the Shopper Role

As a full-service grocery shopper with Instacart, you'll receive orders through the mobile app, navigate local retailers to source items, and deliver completed groceries to homes throughout Western Springs and Cook County. You'll interact directly with customers, handle substitutions and special requests, and manage the entire order workflow independently from start to finish.

Your Responsibilities

• Browse and select groceries, produce, and household items based on customer lists and quality standards
• Communicate with customers via the app to confirm availability and suggest alternatives
• Carefully pack and transport groceries to delivery addresses in the Western Springs area
• Complete transactions and finalize deliveries with customer confirmation
• Track all orders and activity through the Instacart platform
• Manage your own route planning and time throughout each shift

What You Bring

• Valid U.S. driver's license and a reliable, insured vehicle
• Ability to lift and carry groceries regularly (up to 40 lbs per item)
• Smartphone capable of running the Instacart app
• Attention to detail when selecting fresh items and fulfilling orders

• Comfort working independently with flexible part-time availability
