Join Seattle Children's as a Housekeeping Supervisor on the day shift, based in International, King County. You'll lead our environmental services team, manage daily operations, and maintain the exceptional standards of cleanliness and safety that support excellent patient care and a welcoming hospital environment.
About the Role
This full-time position starts at 7:00 a.m. and puts you in charge of housekeeping and environmental services operations across our facility. You'll oversee staff scheduling, performance management, and training while serving as the primary contact for environmental services needs throughout the organization. Your leadership ensures cleaning standards and procedures are followed consistently, collaboratively, and on time.
What You'll Do
- Supervise and direct the housekeeping team through daily tasks, ensuring all areas meet Seattle Children's standards
- Create work schedules, assign jobs, and allocate resources to maintain consistent coverage and operational efficiency
- Train team members on hospital cleaning protocols, safety procedures, infection control standards, and best practices
- Monitor employee performance, provide feedback, and support professional development
- Respond to housekeeping requests and concerns from departments across the hospital
- Ensure cleaning procedures are executed on schedule, safely, and to specification
- Manage urgent or unexpected situations and adjust priorities as needed
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated supervisory experience in housekeeping, environmental services, or facility management
- Knowledge of hospital cleaning standards, sanitation protocols, and infection control practices
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
