About the Role
As a Pipelayer with Walsh Group in the San Antonio area, you'll perform essential pipe-laying work on significant water and infrastructure projects. This is a full-time position focused on installing, joining, and sealing pipes to specification on active construction jobsites serving the Central Texas region.
What You'll Do
- Lay and position pipes according to project specifications and engineering blueprints
- Join pipe sections using welding, threading, or mechanical connections as required
- Wrap and seal pipe joints to ensure water-tight integrity and durability
- Operate hand tools and power equipment safely on commercial, industrial, and heavy civil projects
- Follow all safety protocols and jobsite requirements
- Maintain organized work areas and coordinate with crew members during construction phases
- Inspect completed installations to verify alignment with project standards
What We're Looking For
- Experience or demonstrated ability in pipe laying, joining, and sealing techniques
- Competency with hand tools and power equipment
- Physical capability for demanding labor tasks including lifting, bending, and working in varied conditions
- Strong safety awareness and commitment to jobsite protocols
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Reliable attendance and a team-focused work ethic
- Valid driver's license (preferred)
