About the Role
As Assistant Manager, you'll be part of the operational backbone of our store, supporting store leadership while driving sales, service, and team performance. You'll share responsibility for daily store operations, staff development, and ensuring every customer leaves satisfied. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll work alongside our team on the sales floor, in the stockroom, and in the office.
What You'll Do
- Support store management in overseeing daily operations, inventory management, and merchandising
- Lead, train, and mentor store associates to deliver excellent customer service
- Help manage scheduling, staffing levels, and team performance
- Oversee store cleanliness, organization, product displays, and facility maintenance
- Assist with opening and closing store procedures
- Monitor sales performance and work to meet store goals
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and local regulations
- Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally
What We're Looking For
- Previous retail or farm/home store experience (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Knowledge of farm, garden, or home improvement products is a plus
- Commitment to customer service excellence
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and seasonal peaks
- Reliable transportation and willingness to be available when needed
