About the Role

As Senior Manager of Member Experience, you'll drive strategy and execution across member satisfaction and retention. This leadership role bridges organizational vision with direct member impact, overseeing programs that strengthen the relationship between the American Geophysical Union and our international membership.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement member experience strategies that align with organizational priorities
• Lead team members responsible for member communications, engagement, and retention programs
• Analyze member feedback and engagement metrics to identify opportunities for improvement
• Oversee member-facing initiatives that enhance value and drive satisfaction
• Partner with cross-functional teams including publications, conferences, and education programs
• Manage member experience budgets and resource planning
• Track industry trends and best practices in membership services and member relations

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years managing member relations, customer success, or comparable roles
• Proven ability building and developing high-performing teams
• Strong quantitative skills and experience driving decisions with data
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across organizational levels
• Track record in member retention, engagement analytics, and lifecycle management
• Strategic mindset paired with excellent operational execution
• Commitment to serving the scientific and academic community
