Registered Nurse – FT – Days – General Surgery

Mission Hospital in Assembly, Haywood County is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for the day shift position on our General Surgery unit. A sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates ready to deliver excellent patient care.

About the Role

This is a nursing position on our K8 General Surgery Med-Surg unit, where you will provide direct care to patients undergoing surgical procedures and recovering from operations. You'll be part of a team dedicated to safe, compassionate patient outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Monitor patient vital signs, pain levels, and post-operative recovery
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Maintain sterile practices and support infection prevention protocols
• Coordinate care with physicians, surgeons, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Provide patient and family education on post-operative care and discharge planning
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses in medical records
• Respond to patient needs and maintain a safe healing environment

What We're Looking For

• Current Registered Nurse license (RN) in good standing
• Experience in surgical, acute care, or medical-surgical nursing preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
• Effective communication and collaboration with physicians and staff
• Commitment to patient safety and quality nursing care
• Availability to work day shift hours
