About the Role
As a Mortgage Loan Originator at Liberty Federal Credit Union, you'll be the primary point of contact for members seeking home financing solutions. You'll work within our dynamic lending team to generate mortgage business through client relationships, comprehensive financial consultation, and professional loan origination. This full-time position in Hendersonville requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
What You'll Do
- Meet with prospective and existing members to assess their mortgage financing needs and financial situations
- Present loan options, explain terms and conditions, and guide clients through the mortgage selection process
- Initiate new mortgage loan business through relationship building and proactive outreach
- Complete and review loan applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with credit union policies
- Gather and verify required documentation from applicants
- Coordinate with underwriting, appraisal, and closing teams throughout the loan cycle
- Maintain regulatory compliance with applicable lending laws and guidelines
- Track loan pipeline and manage closing timelines
- Build long-term relationships to support member satisfaction and repeat business
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Mortgage Loan Originator or similar lending role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a demanding environment
- Knowledge of mortgage products, underwriting standards, and lending regulations
- Proficiency with mortgage origination software and Microsoft Office
- Valid NMLS licensing (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work full-time in our Hendersonville location
