About the Role

As an Engineering Inspection Technician, you'll play a critical role in our quality assurance process. You'll operate and maintain coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) and other precision measurement equipment to evaluate manufactured parts against engineering drawings and technical specifications. Your inspections directly support our production process and help ensure every component we deliver meets the highest quality standards our customers depend on.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct comprehensive dimensional inspections using CMMs and other precision measurement instruments
  • Generate accurate inspection reports comparing physical parts against engineering drawings and specification requirements
  • Compile and document dimensional data needed to complete Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) requirements for new tooling and manufacturing runs
  • Verify that production processes and finished products consistently meet quality and specification standards
  • Identify deviations and communicate findings to engineering and production teams
  • Maintain detailed records of all inspections and measurements for quality documentation
  • Ensure facility processes and procedures align with established quality protocols

What We're Looking For

  • Proficiency operating coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) and precision measurement equipment
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and technical specifications
  • Experience with PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and quality documentation
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in dimensional verification
  • Ability to work independently and communicate inspection results clearly
  • Technical aptitude and willingness to develop expertise in precision measurement technology
