About the Role
This Technical Director role combines hands-on digital IP expertise with strategic leadership. You'll take ownership of the technical direction of digital IP design and verification across NXP's product portfolio, working with both current-generation designs and legacy intellectual property that powers the company's semiconductor solutions. You'll be expected to rapidly master complex IP ecosystems while providing architectural guidance to engineering teams.
What You'll Do
- Lead digital IP architecture and design initiatives, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with product roadmaps
- Direct verification strategies and methodologies for complex digital IP components
- Architect and evaluate bus bridge implementations, interconnect protocols, and IP integration solutions
- Mentor engineering teams on best practices in Verilog and SystemVerilog design and verification
- Assess legacy digital IP across the NXP portfolio to identify optimization and modernization opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, verification, and integration engineering
What We're Looking For
- Deep expertise in Verilog and SystemVerilog design and verification methodologies
- Proven experience designing or architecting IP blocks such as AHB/AXI bus bridges and memory controllers
- Strong foundation in digital design principles, timing analysis, and hardware verification
- Leadership experience guiding technical teams and making architectural decisions
- Ability to rapidly understand complex legacy designs and IP ecosystems
- Experience with IP integration, system-on-chip design, or semiconductor product development
