Red Arch Solutions is hiring a Senior Software Engineer with an active security clearance to lead development work at our Fort George G Meade facility in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. This is a full-time, on-site position for an experienced engineer ready to contribute to mission-critical software systems.
About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll architect and build robust software systems in a secure, classified environment. You'll own technical decisions, mentor junior developers, and ensure all code meets the highest standards for security, reliability, and performance. What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications in support of classified programs
- Conduct code reviews, establish best practices, and mentor engineering team members
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Implement security protocols and maintain compliance with federal standards and procedures
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize system performance
- Document architecture, design decisions, and technical processes thoroughly
What We're Looking For
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with active polygraph examination
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution
- Minimum four years of professional software engineering experience on projects in similar security-restricted environments
- Strong foundation in software design principles, data structures, and algorithms
- Experience working within security frameworks and understanding of classified information handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in team-oriented settings
