Join New York University as a SMART Project Coordinator in New York City, supporting the launch of a digital platform designed to connect social work students, alumni, and licensed professionals in a virtual support and referral network. This part-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to a meaningful mental health initiative during a critical growth phase.

About the Role

The SMART (Silver Mental Health & Support Resource Network) App and website launch in October 2025 to serve the social work community. As Project Coordinator, you'll help manage the transition from development to live operations, working 12–14 hours per week for an 8-month period, with potential for extension. You'll be the connective tissue between team members and stakeholders, keeping the initiative organized, on track, and focused on its core mission.

What You'll Do

  • Manage project schedules, track milestones, and coordinate deliverables through launch and initial operations
  • Facilitate communication among team members, partners, and the growing user base of social workers and professionals
  • Organize documentation, maintain shared records, and handle administrative coordination
  • Support user onboarding, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for platform improvement
  • Adjust to evolving priorities and respond to needs as they arise during this dynamic growth phase

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrated project management experience or strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication—both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail and ability to track multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Self-directed work style with comfort collaborating across teams
