About the Role
We're seeking a motivated retail leader to work alongside our Store Manager and drive the energy, sales, and team performance that make our Hanford location a community hub. As a part-time Level 2 Assistant Manager, you'll balance operational excellence with the passion that defines BoxLunch & Hot Topic—helping customers discover what they love while building a team that's genuinely excited to be at work.
What You'll Do
- Partner with the Store Manager to achieve sales objectives and drive profitability
- Lead and mentor team members in a fast-paced retail environment
- Recruit, interview, and onboard qualified candidates who fit our culture
- Develop team skills through coaching, training, and performance feedback
- Ensure an exceptional customer experience every time someone walks through the door
- Oversee store merchandising, inventory management, and visual presentation
- Handle operational tasks including opening, closing, and shift management
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive store culture rooted in music and pop culture
What We're Looking For
- 1+ years of retail management or supervisory experience
- Proven ability to drive sales and meet performance targets
- Strong leadership presence and genuine interest in developing people
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm for music, pop culture, and customer engagement
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a busy environment
- Flexibility to work a part-time schedule, including evenings and weekends
