A-Line Staffing Solutions is hiring a full-time Addiction Counselor and Discharge Planner to join our team across the United States. In this role, you'll provide compassionate counseling and support to individuals in recovery while coordinating their transition and reintegration into community life.
About the Role
This position combines clinical counseling expertise with discharge planning to serve clients navigating recovery from addiction. You'll work directly with individuals—many transitioning from correctional settings—to build pathways toward lasting sobriety and successful community reintegration. Your work spans therapeutic intervention, practical life planning, and connection to essential resources.
What You'll Do
- Deliver individual and group counseling sessions using evidence-based addiction recovery approaches
- Create comprehensive discharge and reentry plans tailored to each client's circumstances and goals
- Coordinate referrals and access to housing, employment, healthcare, and continuing treatment services
- Assess client needs, risk factors, and readiness for community living
- Document treatment progress and outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, case managers, and community organizations
- Provide crisis support during critical transitions and high-risk periods
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, criminal justice, human services, or related field
- Professional counselor, social worker, or mental health licensure (or certification in progress)
- Proven experience in addiction counseling or criminal justice rehabilitation
- Knowledge of substance abuse treatment modalities and community recovery resources
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
- Excellent communication with diverse, vulnerable populations
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and manage emotional demands of the work
