About the Role
As a Traveling General Superintendent with our Advanced Facilities Group, you'll serve as the on-site leader for major construction projects spanning diverse regions and industries. This position demands a leader who thrives in dynamic environments, manages large teams, and drives project success from preconstruction through completion.
What You'll Do
- Oversee daily construction operations on large-scale projects, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and quality standards
- Lead and develop superintendent teams across project sites, fostering a culture of safety and accountability
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to maintain project alignment and resolve issues proactively
- Manage project logistics, resource allocation, and risk mitigation across multiple locations
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety protocols, and industry standards
- Conduct regular site inspections and communicate project status to leadership
- Handle unexpected challenges with sound judgment and problem-solving expertise
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a General Superintendent or senior construction management professional on large, complex projects
- Strong leadership and team management abilities across diverse job sites
- Deep knowledge of construction practices, project scheduling, cost control, and safety protocols
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively to various project locations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients, teams, and stakeholders
- Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt quickly to changing project demands
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- High school diploma or equivalent; construction degree or additional certifications a plus
