Design Assistant

Monarch Cabinetry & Manufacturing is hiring a full-time Design Assistant at our kitchen cabinet showroom in Jerome, Sangamon County. You'll be a key support member of our design team, working in our retail showroom environment to help kitchen designers deliver exceptional cabinetry solutions to residential customers. What You'll Do

• Work alongside kitchen designers during client consultations and design presentations
• Take measurements, document client needs, and gather specifications for kitchen and bath projects
• Prepare design layouts, finish samples, and presentation materials for client review
• Manage showroom displays, cabinet samples, and material libraries
• Handle project documentation including quotes, orders, and timeline tracking
• Communicate between design, manufacturing, and customers to ensure smooth project execution
• Support administrative functions that keep design projects moving forward

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; design background or coursework is valuable
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented approach to work
• Clear communication skills and comfort interacting with clients
• Collaborative mindset—you work well as part of a design team
• Computer proficiency; experience with design or cabinetry software is a plus but not required
• Genuine interest in learning about kitchen design, materials, and the cabinetry trade
• Professional presence suitable for a retail showroom setting
