Director, Corporate & Securities

KBR is hiring a Director, Corporate & Securities to lead our legal and compliance operations in Washington, D.C. This is a full-time leadership position where you'll oversee corporate governance, securities law compliance, and strategic legal initiatives for our organization.

About the Role

As Director of Corporate & Securities at KBR, you will provide executive-level guidance on all corporate law matters, regulatory compliance, and securities-related issues. In this role, you'll manage risk, ensure adherence to federal and state regulations, and support KBR's commitment to operational excellence and sustainable business practices. You'll report to senior leadership while collaborating across departments to align legal strategy with corporate objectives.

What You'll Do

• Oversee all corporate legal matters, including contracts, mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring
• Direct securities compliance efforts and ensure adherence to federal securities laws and regulations
• Lead a team of attorneys and compliance professionals in managing legal risk
• Provide counsel to executive leadership on corporate governance, regulatory matters, and strategic transactions
• Develop and implement legal policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks across the organization
• Manage relationships with external counsel and regulatory bodies
• Support KBR's Zero Harm and Sustainability initiatives through legal compliance

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in law or equivalent; Juris Doctor (J.D.) required
• Active license to practice law in the United States
• 10+ years of experience in corporate law, securities law, or legal management
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing legal teams and cross-functional initiatives
• Deep knowledge of corporate governance, SEC regulations, and compliance requirements
• Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide strategic counsel under pressure
• Experience in the government contracting, engineering, or energy sectors is a plus
