Riggins Company is hiring a Certified Blast and Painter (C7, C12, C14) for our full-time team in Hampton Roads, Hampton City. If you hold active certifications in C7, C12, and C14 and bring hands-on expertise in industrial blasting and protective coating applications, we want to hear from you.
About the Role
As a Certified Blast and Painter, you'll play a critical role in preparing and protecting industrial surfaces to meet specifications and withstand demanding environments. You'll work on projects that require precision, safety awareness, and technical skill—applying coatings and performing surface preparation that directly impacts the longevity and performance of equipment and infrastructure. This is a hands-on position where your certifications and experience make a measurable difference.
What You'll Do
- Execute surface preparation including grinding, blasting, and cleaning to achieve specified finish standards
- Apply protective coatings and paint systems using proper equipment and techniques
- Inspect surfaces before and after treatment to ensure quality and compliance
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a secure work environment
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project schedules and requirements
What We're Looking For
- Active C7, C12, and C14 certifications
- Proven experience in industrial blasting and protective coating application
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Demonstrated safety mindset and adherence to industry standards
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
- Physical ability to perform the demands of the role
