Entech Network Solutions is hiring a Senior Mechanical Estimator for our office in Tempe, Arizona. We're seeking an accomplished estimating professional to lead cost analysis, client development, and project planning on complex mechanical and HVAC installations across the Southwest.
About the Role
You'll be a key member of our preconstruction team, responsible for developing cost analyses, managing scope assessments, and driving client relationships on negotiated and competitive mechanical projects. Your work bridges design and execution—translating project concepts into detailed cost models and timelines that guide both bidding and field delivery. You'll shepherd estimates from early-stage budgeting through detailed takeoffs and final bid presentation.
What You'll Do
- Develop mechanical cost estimates, labor projections, and resource schedules for commercial and industrial projects
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, general contractors, and design professionals
- Analyze plans, specifications, and site conditions to identify risks, cost drivers, and accurate pricing
- Support negotiated work proposals and competitive bidding processes
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams to refine estimates and track bid accuracy
- Contribute to the growth of our preconstruction department and business development efforts
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a senior-level mechanical estimator or cost engineer
- Deep knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and installation methods and best practices
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office; CAD experience a plus
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with architects, contractors, and clients
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple estimates simultaneously
- Detail-oriented mindset with commitment to accuracy and continuous process improvement
