National HealthCare Corporation (NHC) is hiring an Administrator in Training for our Executive Healthcare Leadership Track. This full-time position is based in Murfreesboro, Rutherford County, Tennessee, and is part of our immersive program to develop future leaders in healthcare administration.
About the Role
The Administrator-In-Training (AIT) program is an intensive leadership development initiative designed to prepare motivated professionals for healthcare administration careers across our facilities in the Southeast and beyond. As an AIT, you'll participate in structured training across clinical operations, business management, compliance, and facility administration while working within a supportive mentorship environment.
What You'll Do
- Learn core healthcare facility operations, including nursing care delivery, resident services, and regulatory compliance
- Develop leadership and management skills through hands-on experience and executive mentorship
- Understand financial and operational metrics that drive facility performance
- Gain exposure to human resources, scheduling, and team management practices
- Build knowledge of joint commission and state regulations governing long-term care facilities
- Contribute to daily operations while completing structured training modules
