About the Role

As a Building Substitute, you'll provide essential instructional coverage when faculty are absent, ensuring continuity of learning for our high school students. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work across multiple departments and course levels while collaborating with our dedicated educators and supporting our school community's academic mission.

What You'll Do

• Deliver instruction and manage classrooms in alignment with teacher lesson plans
• Maintain clear communication with permanent faculty and administration regarding student engagement and progress
• Uphold classroom management policies and school behavioral expectations with consistency and professionalism
• Support student learning across diverse course content and teaching styles
• Build positive relationships with students and model respect and professional conduct
• Collaborate with school staff to maintain educational quality and foster student success

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Current Connecticut teaching certification
• Demonstrated classroom management and communication abilities
• Flexibility and responsiveness to dynamic daily scheduling
