Join Lone Peak Hospital's intensive care team as a registered nurse in Draper, Utah. This part-time RN position offers the opportunity to deliver critical care to our most acutely ill patients in a dynamic, fast-paced ICU setting.
About the Role
As an Intensive Care Unit nurse at Lone Peak Hospital, you'll provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients requiring close monitoring and intervention. You'll work alongside experienced physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary clinicians to optimize patient outcomes and ensure the highest standards of care in our state-of-the-art ICU.
What You'll Do
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status continuously, interpreting changes and escalating concerns appropriately
- Administer medications, manage IV access, and perform complex clinical procedures within your scope of practice
- Provide direct patient and family care, offering compassionate communication during critical illness
- Maintain accurate, timely electronic health records documenting assessments, interventions, and patient responses
- Collaborate with the healthcare team on patient care plans and participate in multidisciplinary rounds
- Ensure patient safety and comfort through evidence-based nursing practices
- Support infection control protocols and maintain a clean, organized care environment
What We're Looking For
- Current RN license (unrestricted) in Utah or compact nursing state
- Demonstrated experience or strong foundational knowledge in acute/intensive care nursing
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems
- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain composed during high-acuity situations
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development
